Tired of bent and broken forks?

Inward forks are custom made in the USA and extremely strong. They come standard for wheel sizes of up to 110mm, and an extra strong threadless steerer tube with a wall thickness of .083 inch.  You have the ability to completely customize this fork to your specifications as follows:

Offset

We enable you to order a fork with “zero offset”. This means your wheel is directly under the steering tube. The advantage is a more balanced bar spin, and your fork is always pointing in the right direction after the bar spin. The Extreme fork has an offset of 10mm (about 3/8 inch). This means your front wheel is mounted 10mm in front of the center of your steering tube, just like the stock Razor fork.

Wheel size

Inward Forks come standard for a 100 or 110mm Wheel.

Threaded or Threadless

The Inward fork comes standard as threadless. The threadless fork comes prepared for a compression system and has a recessed cup in the bottom with a hole for a compression bolt.

Steerer tube wall thickness:

The threadless Inward fork comes standard with a 0.083 inch thick wall, which is plenty strong for most riders. Threaded forks come with 0.120 inch wall. (see bottom picture on right) .

SCS or HIC  star nut install:

We can save you the trouble of installing a star nut for your SCS or HIC compression set and will do it for you using a professional tool. Note: You still will have to buy the SCS or HIC separately!

Color:

You can pick from these 7 colors: Black, Red, Sky Blue, Neon Green,  Orange, Purple, and White.

Threadless or Threaded?

The stock Razor scooter comes with a traditional 1 1/8 inch threaded headset. This means that the bearings in which the scooter fork turns are held together (compressed) by a locknut.
The threaded headset has 2 major disadvantages:

1. The threads are cut in the steerer tube and effectively make the tube thinner and weaker. This causes a lot of forks to break at the threads.
2. The headset is not sealed, causing dirt and moist to get into the bearings, requiring regular maintenance.

Inward has addressed reason number 1 by making its threaded forks with a thicker steerer tube keeping it strong enough even with threads.

Riders have switched to threadless forks and headsets for these reasons, but also because there is a lot of choice in sealed, and perhaps better looking headsets originally made for BMX and Mountain bikes. Threadless forks also tend to be lighter, which appeals to weight conscious riders.

It is important to point out that the fork may be lighter, but a threadless fork needs a compression set  (bolt, cap and starnut of inverted compression weigh 2 oz, a PROTO SCS Brass Knuckle weighs up to 11 oz). This effectively makes them at least as heavy as a threaded fork. These compression sets (particularly the inverted set with a starnut in the bars) are not easy to install. (see our frequent questions page).

So, there is really only one reason to go threadless, and that is the choice in good quality headsets. If you are a beginning, or even intermediate rider, the stock threaded headset will work just fine if you install it correctly and clean it and grease it on a regular basis. It is also much easier to install.

Extreme riders and pro's are propably better of with a threadless setup, specifically the SCS Brass Knuckle by PROTO, which combines a compression set and bar clamp in one.
